6 months on and here I am again my old mate. I have managed to get a bit further in tracking down parts of our history and time together when we were young teenagers. I found your Brother Martin by shear accident and had a nice chat with him. We talked about your Mum and Dad, Lily and Ned, we talked about your big Bro Dave and your Uncle Bill, bless him. I found out they all are laid to rest in East Herringthorpe, so I will go pay my respects the next time I'm up in Rotherham. I also reminisced with Martin about the last time I saw your Mum Lil when they lived in Oval Road, East Dene and also when I met Darren. Your Mum made me feel so special, just like you used to do, and she got very excited when she saw me standing at the back door. You weren't there but I found out where you lived and remember visiting you up Rawmarsh. Can't exactly remember where it was, but it was a flat I think. We spent a little time together, but not long enough as I felt I had to leave your house as I felt a tad unwelcome. Not from you and it's probably just in my head, but at least I saw you. I left the conversation with Martin, who now lives in Alloa up in Scotland, and agreed we should keep in touch given there are only him, Darren and myself left from the Brothers and I am still number 5 son as your Mum called me. Do you recall my old mate, I started out as number 3 Son after Dave and you, then Martin was born and I became number 4 Son, then Darren was born making me number 5 Son to Lil and Ned. What a legacy I have in the Swift family, a legacy I treasure and will always treasure. I'll say tara for now my dear old pal and I will attempt to track down others from your more recent and immediate family and attempt to get to know them albeit from a distance.
